It *IS* excellent handwriting. Yet, ehm, is the teacher Slavic or something? Trying to be culturally sensitive instead of go "AYYAAARRGH" about a teacher misspelling on grade school homework.

Old-timey "s" were often written "f". Maybe it was a compliment of Jack's ability to curse, unrelated to the handwriting homework.
